Wrapped up in the work of the church, you risk being known solely for your ecclesiastical work. Beyond the pulpit, you are more than your title, deserving a vision for the entirety of your life. It is essential that you take the time to craft a vision for each aspect of your life. Whether as a parent, a business owner, someone with aspirations outside the church, or a spouse. If you are living it, you must write a vision for it.

You must design a βMe Guide.β And the first step is defining yourself and each aspect of your life. In the whirlwind of shepherding your congregation, it is easy to lose sight of the individual facets that compose your existence. Your primary focus may be guiding the church toward spiritual enlightenment, yet your personal life demands an equally meticulous vision.
Dedicated pastors often overlook the need for a personal vision, forgetting they are more than pastors. Your identity extends beyond church walls, or at least it should. Here are some other aspects of your life that you should consider writing a vision.
Spousal Vision
As a spouse, your duty transcends the pulpit. Craft a vision for marriage that goes beyond routine. Envision a partnership where you grow individually and collectively, creating a home filled with mutual respect, love, and understanding. The spousal vision should mirror the divine love preached from the pulpit.
